Det er os en stor fornøjelse at kunne byde velkommen onsdag den 31. oktober kl. 19:30 til den spanske pianist Ruben Lorenzo som vil spille værker af Debussy, Schumann, Brahms, Albéniz og Frans Liszt.

Spanish pianist, studied piano in Zaragoza Juliet Bel (Honor Award in piano and chamber music) and in Madrid with Pedro Espinosa, Josep Colom and G. Fernandez Alvez. He lives in London where he studied with time Arootuinian Narine (Royal Academy of Music) and Louis Kentner (Yehudi Menuhin School).His intense concert activity for almost 30 years has led him to act in prestigious venues in different countries in Europe, Asia and Latin room including Franz Liszt, Villa Louvigny Theatre Luxembourg, Salle Cortot in Paris, Amphitheater Simon Bolivar in Mexico, Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall) New York, Lee Hysan Concert Hall of Hong Kong, etc..
The numerous criticisms that have been always highlighted its elegance, beauty of sound and communication skills in the musical discourse, and the virtuosity in his performance. In the beginning Edward Fauquié wrote of him: “… has been to demonstrate that it is already a great pianist.†“… A pianist of great entity.†And more recently: “… one of the most chilling piano performances and emotive one remembers.†(Luis Alfonso Bes, Heraldo de Aragon) criticism in Germany writes:! A commendable performance for Hats off to the soloist (Katrin Seidel, “Leipziger Volkzeitung†1995) and in France – “the Spanish pianist is imposed as an ambassador of his country’s musical heritage†(J.Lukas, La Terrasse Nov. 2007)With a vast repertoire, played in concert, in recent years has performed numerous recitals based on specific themes. Especially important is to emphasize the premiere in Spain of the integral of the four volumes of “Makroskosmos†of George Crumb, a reference work in the art world of contemporary piano. Has recorded 8 CDs with works by Granados, Mendelssohn Beethoven, Liszt, Gottschalk, and several contemporary and spanish composers.
Between 2008 and 2009 addresses the Integral of the 32 Beethoven piano sonatas with pianist Mario Monreal, within the cycle of Great Soloists “Pilar Bayona†in the Auditorium of Zaragoza along with Paris, London and Strasbourg.
